Customs: Russia’s foreign trade surplus falls 18% in Jan
MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s foreign trade surplus fell by 18% to U.S. $13.7 billion in January, the Federal Customs Service said on Wednesday.
Exports decreased by 7.9% to $29.9 billion in the period. Fuel and energy goods accounted for 65.1% of exports with exports of these types of goods to the non-CIS countries accounting for 69.9%.
Imports rose by 2.8% to $16.2 billion. Cars and machinery accounted for 44.9% of imports.
